Contributor-level stored XSS via shortcode attributes
Published Nov 30, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Magazine3 Technologies AMP for WP 1.0.88.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts into pages. The plugin’s shortcode handling fails to sanitize user-supplied attributes and escape them when rendering page output. Contributor-level access is sufficient to store a payload that executes in another user’s browser when the injected page is opened.
