CVE-2023-48306Network attack vector

Authenticated SSRF via DNS rebinding

Published Nov 21, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

SSRF in affected Nextcloud Server and Enterprise Server releases allows remote authenticated users to reach internal hosts via DNS rebinding. DnsPinMiddleware fails to stop when DNS resolution produces no usable address, allowing request dispatch to re-resolve an attacker-controlled hostname to a private address. Low-privileged network access is required; successful requests can disclose server-reachable data, with no reported write or service-interruption impact.
