Arbitrary database queries via missing form-token validation
Published Nov 20, 2023 · Updated Oct 11, 2024
CSRF in XWiki Contrib Admin Tools Application before 4.5.1 allows remote attackers to run database queries via an administrator request. Admin.QueryOnXWiki passes the query parameter to SQLTools.getResults without validating a form token. A comment-embedded image triggers the request when an administrator views it, allowing wiki data deletion or modification and account privilege changes.
