Settings changes via missing nonce validation
Published Nov 30, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
CSRF in PressTigers Simple Testimonials Showcase 1.1.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to change plugin settings via forged requests. The sts_save_settings() function accepts settings changes without validating a WordPress nonce, so a cross-site request executes under the administrator session. Exploitation requires a logged-in site administrator to follow attacker-controlled content; the documented consequence is unauthorized alteration of plugin configuration.
