Privileged web access via hidden hard-coded accounts
Published Jan 10, 2024 · Updated Jun 17, 2025
Hard-coded credentials in Bosch Rexroth NEXO Cordless Nutrunner NEXO-OS V1000-Release through V1500-SP2 allow remote attackers high web privileges. The firmware embeds multiple hidden accounts, and the web application accepts their fixed credentials as privileged identities. Network reachability to the browser-based interface is required; successful authentication grants the permissions assigned to those privileged accounts.
