CVE-2023-48243Network attack vector

Root code execution via upload path traversal

Published Jan 10, 2024 · Updated Jun 17, 2025

Path traversal in NEXO-OS V1000-Release through V1500-SP2 on the NEXO Cordless Nutrunner allows remote authenticated users to execute code as root. The management web application's file-upload handler fails to restrict an attacker-controlled destination path to its intended directory, so the root application process writes uploaded content anywhere on the device. A valid low-privilege web account and network access to the exposed management interface are required; a crafted HTTP upload can place executable content and fully compromise the device.
