Restricted document disclosure via omitted Solr fields
Published Nov 20, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Improper authorization in affected CryptPad XWiki Platform releases allows remote attackers to read restricted documents through Solr search. SolrQueryExecutor derives each result's document reference for a view-right check but retained results when requested fields prevented that derivation. The suggestion service is public by default, so unauthenticated queries can retrieve stored content across all wikis, excluding protected values such as password hashes.
