Settings overwrite via missing CSRF nonce validation
Published Nov 20, 2023 · Updated Aug 29, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Bdaia Woohoo 2.5.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to change theme settings through an administrator. The settings handler at /wp-admin/admin.php?page=mypanel&do=submit accepts POSTed option values without validating a CSRF nonce. An administrator must be logged in and open attacker-controlled HTML, after which the forced request overwrites theme settings.
