Spreadsheet formula execution via unescaped unique ID
Published Dec 7, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
CSV injection in PHPJabbers Availability Booking Calendar 5.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute formulas through reservation exports. The Reservations list writes the unique ID field to CSV output without neutralizing leading spreadsheet formula characters. Exploitation requires control of that field and a recipient who opens the generated CSV in software that evaluates formulas, enabling spreadsheet-side data access or command execution.
