Unauthenticated stored XSS via incorrect content type
Published Oct 16, 2023 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Tammersoft Shared Files before 1.7.6 allows remote attackers to execute scripts through an uploaded file. The file-view route serves an allowed-extension upload containing script markup without the correct Content-Type header, so the browser interprets it as active code. No authentication is required to place the payload, but execution requires a user to open the uploaded file's preview URL and occurs in that site's browser origin.
