Information disclosure via heap buffer over-read

Heap-buffer over-read in GIFLIB 5.2.1 allows local users to disclose process memory or crash gif2rgb using a crafted GIF. DumpScreen2RGB reads outside an allocated heap buffer at lines 321–323 while saving malformed image data. Local access and execution of gif2rgb on the crafted file are required; the demonstrated result is a crash, and the CVE record also identifies sensitive-information exposure.
