Code execution via out-of-bounds path resolution

A heap buffer overflow in zlib-ng minizip-ng 4.0.2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted archive. During extraction, mz_path_resolve in mz_os.c reads one byte before the allocated path buffer while resolving an archive entry path. Exploitation requires a user or consuming application to extract the attacker-supplied archive; the demonstrated consequence is a process abort under AddressSanitizer, while the CVE record states arbitrary code execution.
