Application state corruption via unsaved XMM registers

Memory corruption in OpenSSL POLY1305 on Windows 64 versions 1.1.1 through 3.1.2 allows attackers to corrupt application state via crafted MAC use. The POLY1305 implementation zeroes non-volatile XMM registers instead of restoring them when processing more than 64 bytes on AVX512-IFMA processors. A remote client can influence cipher selection in TLS applications, but OpenSSL reports no concrete affected application; likely outcomes are incorrect calculations or a crash causing denial of service.
