Use of weak RSA padding in upydev 0.4.3 allows remote attackers to decrypt sensitive information via chosen-ciphertext attacks. The keygen.py password-refresh path encrypts a newly generated WebREPL password with RSA PKCS#1 v1.5 padding before sending it to the device for decryption. The published issue does not identify the oracle behavior needed to complete the attack; the bounded reported impact is disclosure of encrypted messages or the transferred password.
