Administrator-session script execution via reflected endpoint input
Published Sep 13, 2023 · Updated Sep 24, 2024
Reflected XSS in Proofpoint Insider Threat Management Server before 7.14.3.69 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript. The WriteWindowTitle endpoint returns attacker-controlled content to the web console, but Proofpoint has not published the affected parameter or missing output-encoding operation. An authenticated administrator must cause another web console administrator to load the crafted response, enabling script execution in that administrator's browser session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
