Unauthenticated file disclosure via Language Settings traversal
Published Jun 28, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Path traversal in Synology Camera Firmware before 1.0.7-0298 allows remote attackers to read specific non-sensitive files. The Language Settings functionality fails to confine a supplied pathname to its restricted directory, but Synology has not disclosed the parameter or request path. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient; the reported consequence is limited to disclosure of specific non-sensitive files on BC500 and TC500 cameras.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
