Credential capture via insufficient endpoint permission checks
Published Sep 8, 2023 · Updated Sep 25, 2024
Authorization flaws in Qualys Container Scanning Connector for Jenkins 1.6.2.6 and earlier allow remote authenticated users to capture credentials. Multiple HTTP endpoints accept global Item/Configure permission without verifying Item/Configure permission on a particular job, then expose credential IDs or initiate connections with a selected credential. A logged-in user with global Item/Configure permission can direct Jenkins to an attacker-controlled server and capture stored credentials.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
