CVE-2023-47768Network attack vector

Reflected XSS via unescaped request parameter

Published Nov 22, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Reflected XSS in Russell Jamieson Footer Putter 1.17 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts in a visitor's browser. The plugin reflects an unspecified request parameter into a generated page without sufficient sanitization or output escaping; public sources identify no file or function. Exploitation requires a visitor to open an attacker-crafted link, after which the script runs in the affected site's browser origin and can act within that visitor's session.
