HTTP response splitting via unsanitized PDF filename
Published Nov 3, 2023 · Updated Sep 5, 2024
CRLF injection in ManageEngine Endpoint Central 9.1.0 allows remote attackers to split HTTP responses through a crafted PDF filename. The InvSWMetering.pdf handler copies the fileName parameter into an HTTP response header without neutralizing carriage-return and line-feed characters. Exploitation requires user interaction with the manipulated response, enabling attacker-chosen headers or a second response to affect that user's browser session.
