Settings reset via missing nonce validation
Published Nov 18, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
CSRF in Code Snippets 3.5.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to reset plugin settings through a forged administrator request. The load handler performs the settings-reset operation without validating a WordPress nonce before accepting request data. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link, and the bounded consequence is unauthorized plugin-setting changes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
