CVE-2023-47639Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Information disclosure via unmasked exception messages

Published Apr 3, 2025 · Updated Apr 3, 2025

Information disclosure in API Platform Core 3.2.0 through 3.2.4 allows remote attackers to read exception details in JSON errors. The Symfony ErrorListener serializes an exception message as the error-resource detail and fails to mask HTTP 500 details outside debug mode. An unauthenticated request must reach an application operation that raises a non-HTTP exception; disclosure is limited to data present in that message.
