JavaScript execution via reflected plugin endpoint parameters
Published Dec 13, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in Scrypted 0.55.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to run JavaScript through crafted plugin endpoint paths. plugin-http.ts copies the owner and pkg route parameters into an HTML 404 response without neutralizing markup. A user must open a crafted link; the injected script then runs in that user's Scrypted origin and can issue authenticated RPC requests.
