CVE-2023-47612Public exploit

Arbitrary file read-write via unprotected FTP API

Published Nov 9, 2023 · Updated Sep 4, 2024

Improper file access in BGS5, EHS5/6/8, PDS5/6/8, ELS61/81, and PLS62 allows physically proximate attackers to read or write any file. The documented FTP AT-command API lacks access controls; its JRC MIDlet runs in the manufacturer security domain and accepts transfers for any modem filesystem path. A wired connection such as USB and physical access are required, exposing system data, hidden directories, and executable MIDlet files to modification.
