CVE-2023-4757Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via unescaped LDAP attributes

Published Jan 16, 2024 · Updated Jun 20, 2025

Stored XSS in Staff/Employee Business Directory before 1.2.3 allows attackers controlling LDAP entries to run script in visitors' browsers. The directory shortcode renders attributes returned by the LDAP search without sanitizing or escaping them, so embedded event-handler markup enters the page. Exploitation requires control of an LDAP entry and a visitor, including an administrator, to display or search for that entry; the script can read page data or act with that visitor's privileges.
