CVE-2023-47564Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Session hijacking via unrestricted device-list query

Published Feb 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 29, 2024

Permission flaw in QNAP Qsync Central 4.3.x and 4.4.x allows remote authenticated users to hijack sessions and read files. The qboxRequest.cgi device-list action returns every logged-in user's session ID when filteruser is omitted instead of restricting results to the caller. A low-privileged account and an active victim session are required; a disclosed session ID can be replayed to impersonate that victim and download stored files.
