CVE-2023-47541

Code execution via CLI path traversal

Published Apr 9, 2024 · Updated Jan 14, 2026

Path traversal in Fortinet FortiSandbox allows local users to execute unauthorized code through the command-line interface. The CLI fails to confine a supplied pathname to its intended directory, enabling an arbitrary file write, but Fortinet has not identified the affected command or validation routine. Administrative CLI access is required, and successful exploitation can compromise the appliance.
