CVE-2023-47540

Privileged code execution via CLI command injection

Published Apr 9, 2024 · Updated Jan 14, 2026

OS command injection in Fortinet FortiSandbox allows local users with super-admin access to execute arbitrary code via CLI. Fortinet identifies only an affected CLI command and has not disclosed which command accepts unneutralized input or how that input reaches an operating-system command. Affected releases are FortiSandbox 3.0.5 through 3.0.7, all 3.2 and 4.0 releases, 4.2.1 through 4.2.6, and 4.4.0 through 4.4.2; exploitation requires a super-admin profile and CLI access.
