Code execution via unneutralized CSV formulas
Published Nov 9, 2023 · Updated Sep 29, 2025
CSV injection in Combodo iTop 3.1.0-2-11973 allows local users to execute commands when a malicious exported CSV file is opened. The export-v2.php and ajax.render.php paths place user-supplied spreadsheet formulas into CSV output without neutralization, enabling DDE formulas to launch CMD or PowerShell. Exploitation requires low-privileged access to supply the formula and a spreadsheet application to process the exported file; the command runs in the opener's context.
