Authenticated command execution via unfiltered log_type
Published Jul 17, 2025 · Updated Jul 24, 2025
Command injection in Mingyu Security Gateway before 3.0-5.3p allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through log_type. The webui/modules/log/fw_security.mds handler inserts log_type into the $table command string without filtering and passes it to exec. A valid USGSESSID session is required, and injected shell commands execute with root authority.
