Authenticated space creation via missing authorization
Published Dec 13, 2023 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Broken access control in Silverpeas Core before 6.3.2 allows remote authenticated users to create administrator-only spaces. The CreateSpace endpoint accepts a low-privileged user's X-STKN token and processes submitted space details without enforcing administrator authorization. Any authenticated account can add a space despite the administrator-only restriction, modifying portal structure without broader reported impact.
