Authenticated WAR deployment via missing route authorization
Published Dec 13, 2023 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Incorrect authorization in the Portlet Deployer of Silverpeas Core 6.3.1 allows remote authenticated users to deploy WAR portlets. The /silverpeas/portletDeployer route exposes an administrator-only deployment tool directly to low-privileged accounts without enforcing the required role. Any authenticated low-privileged account can reach the route and use privileged portlet deployment, altering server-side application content.
