Browser script execution via inline HTML download
Published Nov 22, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Headwind MDM Web panel 5.22.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The upload function accepts arbitrary HTML files, and the download function returns them inline so the browser renders their client-side code. Exploitation requires file-upload privileges and a victim to follow the shared download URL; the script runs in the panel's browser context.
