Telecommand release via hidden iframe overlay
Published Nov 20, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Clickjacking in Yamcs 5.8.6 allows remote attackers to release arbitrary telecommands from a Command Stack through a crafted website. The site embeds the Yamcs interface in a hidden iframe and places a deceptive element over the Run All control, forwarding the user's click to Yamcs. A user with an active Yamcs session must load the attacker's page and click the lure, after which every command in the selected stack is released to a spacecraft or simulator.
