CVE-2023-47304Public exploit

Arbitrary memory access via unauthenticated UART boot menu

Published Dec 5, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Improper authentication in Vonage VDV23 VDV21-3.2.11-0.5.1 allows local users to read or write device memory through UART. During boot, the p option accepts default router configuration entries and reaches a memory-access menu without enforcing the UART login. Physical access to board header pins and a serial adapter is required; exposed commands permit firmware dumping and a boot-time router crash.
