Account deletion via insufficient API access control
Published Jun 23, 2025 · Updated Jun 26, 2025
Improper access control in NCR Terminal Handler 1.5.1 allows remote authenticated users to lock, deactivate, or delete user accounts. The REST and SOAP account-management endpoints accept a crafted session cookie without sufficient authorization checks for critical account operations. A low-privileged account can target other users, including administrators, and can remove users in the same security group, causing user-level access denial.
