Stored XSS via image tag filter bypass
Published Dec 26, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in GROWI before 6.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user’s browser via a crafted wiki page. Its XSS filter permits crafted img-tag content to survive sanitization and remain stored until the page is rendered. An authenticated user must store the payload and another user must view the affected page; execution occurs in that viewer’s browser context.
