Authenticated arbitrary file creation via MIB name traversal
Published Jan 8, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Path traversal in ManageEngine OpManager 12.7.258 allows remote authenticated users to create files outside the MIB directory. MibBrowserApiUtil.uploadMib derives orgMibName from uploaded MIB content and joins it to the destination path without traversal sanitization. Access to the authenticated MIB Browser upload API is required; accepted extensions limit file types, but placement can reach arbitrary server paths.
