SYSTEM code execution via unvalidated plug-in commands
Published Jan 23, 2024 · Updated May 30, 2025
Origin validation failure in Trend Micro Apex One 2019 and Apex One as a Service allows local users to execute code as SYSTEM. The Apex One Client Plug-in Service Manager accepts commands without sufficiently validating their origin. Low-privileged code execution on an affected Windows endpoint is required, after which arbitrary code runs with SYSTEM privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
