Published Jan 23, 2024 · Updated Jun 17, 2025
Origin validation error in the Trend Micro Apex One Security Agent allows local users to execute arbitrary code as SYSTEM. The NT Listener service accepts commands without adequately validating their origin, allowing untrusted local commands to reach its privileged execution context. Exploitation requires low-privileged code execution on an affected Windows host and grants control over the host with SYSTEM privileges.
