Privilege escalation in IBM Db2 for Windows 10.5, 11.1, and 11.5 allows local users to gain SYSTEM access through MSI repair. IBM identifies only the MSI repair path and has not disclosed the affected code locus or incorrect operation. Local access to an affected Db2 client installation is required, and successful exploitation grants full SYSTEM privileges.
