Unauthenticated privilege escalation via incorrect API access control
Published Feb 8, 2024 · Updated Jun 11, 2025
Improper privilege management in N-able N-central before 2023.7 allows remote attackers to gain elevated privileges through API calls. The N-central API makes incorrect access-control decisions for calls, granting privileges that unauthenticated callers should not receive. Network reachability to the API is sufficient; successful exploitation permits broad access to data and managed-system functions.
