Server path disclosure via install login hint
Published Nov 14, 2023 · Updated Aug 29, 2024
Information disclosure in TYPO3 CMS 12.2.0 through 12.4.7 allows remote attackers to read the server's transient directory path. The Install Tool's showEnableInstallToolFileAction derives the ENABLE_INSTALL_TOOL directory from an absolute filesystem location and places it in an unauthenticated login hint. Exposure requires a Composer-based standalone Install Tool; classic installations are unaffected, and the disclosed data is limited to a server filesystem path.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
