Authenticated arbitrary file deletion via unsanitized image path
Published Nov 8, 2023 · Updated Sep 4, 2024
Arbitrary file deletion in PrestaShop Customer Reassurance 5.1.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to interrupt a store. AdminBlockListingController joins a stored custom_icon value directly to the shop root and passes the resulting path to unlink without restricting it to the module image directory. A back-office user with module access must save a crafted project-relative image path and then delete the block; targeting index.php makes the storefront unavailable.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
