CVE-2023-47105Network attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via server cmd parameter

Published Sep 18, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024

OS command injection in ChaosBlade 0.3 through 1.7.3 allows remote attackers to execute commands through server mode. The /chaosblade handler parses the untrusted cmd form value and passes it unchanged to NewLocalChannel().Run for execution by the blade process. The server must be started and reachable, but it binds to all interfaces by default and requires no authentication, exposing host-level command execution.
