CVE-2023-47104Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary command execution via unfiltered dialog text

Published Oct 30, 2023 · Updated Sep 9, 2024

OS command injection in Guillaume Vareille tinyfiledialogs before 3.15.0 allows attackers to execute shell commands through dialog text. Unix dialog paths build shell command lines from caller-controlled titles, messages, and other strings without rejecting backquotes or dollar signs. A consuming application must pass attacker-controlled text to a dialog API; injected commands then run with that application's privileges.
