Stored script execution via virtual-server description
Published Oct 31, 2023 · Updated Sep 5, 2024
Stored XSS in Virtualmin 7.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user’s browser via a server description. The Create Virtual Server workflow stores the Description field without effective output neutralization and renders it on the Virtual Server Summary page. Access to the server-creation interface is required, and execution occurs when another user views the stored summary.
