IPsec connection denial via cookie-threshold exhaustion

Denial of service in Stormshield Network Security SNS allows remote attackers to prevent new IPsec connections by exhausting the cookie threshold. Stormshield identifies the locus as the IPsec daemon and states that cookies can exceed the configured CookieThreshold limit; the faulty threshold-handling operation is undisclosed. Network access without authentication or user interaction is sufficient; affected releases are 4.3.13 through 4.3.22, 4.6.0 through 4.6.9, and 4.7.0 through 4.7.1, and the documented consequence is loss of IPsec connection availability rather than firewall shutdown.
