Application crash via malicious file NULL dereference
Published Dec 13, 2023 · Updated Nov 25, 2024
NULL pointer dereference in Adobe InDesign 19.0 and earlier and 17.4.2 and earlier allows attackers to crash the application via a malicious file. Adobe has not disclosed the parser, file structure, or invalid value that reaches the NULL dereference, so the faulty operation is not public. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted file and interrupts only that user's InDesign process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
