Code execution via stale JP2 object use

Use-after-free in Adobe Illustrator 2024 28.0 and earlier and 2023 27.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a malicious JP2 file. The JP2 parser fails to verify that an object still exists before performing operations on it, producing a stale-object access. Exploitation requires the current user to open the crafted file or visit a page that supplies it, and successful execution runs in the Illustrator process context.
