Code execution via unchecked MP4 object write
Published Nov 17, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe After Effects 24.0.2 and earlier and 23.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted MP4 file. The MP4 parser fails to validate user-supplied data before writing past the end of an allocated object. Exploitation requires a user to visit malicious content or open the file, and resulting code runs in the current process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
